Maverick City singer Naomi Raine to perform at Rhema Bible Church on April 01, 2023.

It’s all systems go for Maverick City member Naomi Raine’s gospel show in Johannesburg on April 01, 2023.

In what would be Raine’s first appearance on the continent, the American gospel star is expected to lead thousands in worship at the Rhema Bible Church on Saturday evening. Raine, who is a member of Grammy award winning gospel group Maverick City, is likely to belt some of the songs that saw the spotlight shine on her.

Event organizer Samuel Monyake says everything, from logistical perspective, is in place for what he expects to be a successful evening of worship in Randburg, Johannesburg.

“We have been working hard and around the clock to make sure we deliver a great event. I have no doubt that we will. The momentum is picking up and the tickets are selling at a desirable rate. It’s really exciting times for gospel music lovers in the country,” said Monyake, who is the Managing Director of Christocentric Worship.

“Most people would be familiar with the offerings of Maverick City and Naomi. She’s a woman who is graced to open the heaven and usher us into the presence of the King. My expectation is that everyone inside the auditorium at Rhema will be taken to a place in worship where there will be healing, restoration and refreshment for their souls. I really can’t wait to be taken to certain dimensions in worship.”

Christocentric Worship has announced local artists who will also be performing alongside Raine at the concert. Brenden Praise, Kingdmusic and Verona Pillay are set to dish out performances that will have gospel music followers on their toes and knees.

“You can’t afford to miss such an awesome event. Most people thirsty for great worship might as well come to Rhema since I have no doubt that there will be a well for them to immerse themselves in the presence of the Lord. I am confident that our line up comprises people assigned to carry the Lord’s mission in this season,” said Monyake.
